This activity was opened by Mr. Muhamad Azan as the Regional Secretary of Batang Hari Regency, accompanied by Mr. Amir Hamzah as Head of the Communication and Information Office (Diskominfo) of Batang Hari Regency. The resource persons for this activity were also Mrs. Theresa Putri from BPS Jambi Province and Mr. Dwi Satria from BPS Batang Hari Regency. The number of participants in this activity was 50 people who came from the OPD in the Batang Hari Regency.
This activity is in line with efforts to realize One Data Indonesia (SDI). The Central Statistics Agency as the Data Trustee, the Batang Hari Regency Communication and Information Agency as the Data Guardian and the Office/Agency and OPD within the Batang Hari Regency as the data producer. In this case, the three parties who play a role in the realization of SDI can sit together so that a stable and quality data source can be realized.
At this meeting, it was discussed about one of the tasks of BPS as a supervisor for statistical data and procedures for providing recommendations in the planning process of data collection. Recommendations for statistical activities are suggestions and inputs given by BPS to the design of statistical activities submitted by OPD as Data Producer to BPS through Diskominfo as walidata of Batang Hari Regency. Statistical activities reported by Data Producers are not limited to survey activities only, but also Administration Product compilation (KOMPROMIN) activities. In addition, the procedure for reporting Metadata statistics to Data Producers is also presented, which publishes the results of their statistical activities in accordance with BPS Regulation No. 5 of 2020 concerning Technical Instructions for Metadata Statistics. Metadata is information in a standardized format with the aim of avoiding duplication of data and activities, so as to facilitate the management and search of existing data. Accurate and precise data can be used to formulate appropriate policy making as well.
