The COVID-19 pandemic and the recent conflict between Russia and Ukraine had shaken the world economy. The World Bank predicts that global economic growth will slow down in 2022 by 2.9 percent and when compared to 2021 the global economy will grow by 5.7%. Meanwhile, in the midst of the issue of the economic crisis that hit the world. The rate of economic growth in East Tanjung Jabung Regency has actually increased quite significantly. This is evidenced from data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of East Tanjung Jabung Regency which states that the economic growth of East Tanjung Jabung Regency in 2021 will grow at 0.13%. "During the past Covid-19 pandemic, East Tanjung Jabung's economic growth fell to minus 3.92 percent, along with economic recovery in 2021, East Tanjung Jabung's economic growth can bounce back. Economic growth in East Tanjung Jabung Regency is supported by several sectors such as Mining and Quarrying, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, as well as Wholesale and Retail Trade sectors," said Pangorian Marpaung, S.E as Head of BPS Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency.
