Inauguration and Coaching for Statistical Agent

The academic community is the majority group that uses BPS data, therefore BPS through the Statistics Corner innovation brings BPS services closer to many tertiary institutions. Jambi University (UNJA) is currently the only university in Jambi that has a Statistics Corner.

To facilitate the service process at the Statistics Corner, BPS opens opportunities for students who wish to contribute to becoming Statistics Agents. This Statistics Agent goes through administrative selection and receives direct guidance from BPS.

Wednesday, 10 May 2023 at the BPS Jambi Province Hall, the Head of the Jambi Province BPS confirmed 6 (six) Statistical Agents. The Head of BPS Jambi Province advised that Statistical Agents can take part in statistical training properly so that they can provide the best service in the future and become agents in promoting BPS data.

In the training materials provided, the Statistical Agents gain knowledge about what services BPS has and what the Statistical Agent's duties will be. On this occasion, material related to service excellence was also presented to optimize the performance of Statistical Agents while on duty.

The Statistics Corner at UNJA is located at the Library so that all visitors to the UNJA library can access it. In addition to the services provided by Statistical Agents, visitors can also communicate directly with Integrated Statistical Services (PST) officers at BPS Jambi Province through the Virtual Statistics Pojok (POSITIV) application. POSITIV is a metaverse-based application that allows visitors to consult directly virtually using an avatar.
