BPS Jambi Province Exemplary Employees & Invites to Be Aware of Illegal Financial Activities

Friday (5/7) morning at the BPS Jambi Province Hall, Obsesi (Fun Morning Session Chat) was held, which is one of the activities in Change Management. The theme raised was quite different, namely related to illegal financial activities, with speakers from the OJK (Financial Services Authority) of Jambi Province. Present at the opening ceremony were the Head of BPS Jambi Province, Agus Sudibyo, the Head of OJK Jambi Province, Yudha Nugraha Kurata, and the Head of General Affairs of BPS Jambi Province, Eko Libri Ardi.

"This time the atmosphere is different. Change management is not only about technicalities. Please ask questions, so that you can get enlightenment about illegal financial activities," explained Agus in his speech. Meanwhile, Yudha expressed his gratitude for the collaboration that has been established, to improve financial literacy. "Formal and informal collaboration is important for us. Including this morning's activity," said Yudha to all participants.

Participants were very enthusiastic in listening to the presentation delivered by Agus Setiawan Wibowo, as the PUJK, PEPK and LMS Behavioral Supervision Analyst, OJK Jambi Province Office. Agus explained how to recognize illegal online loans (pinjol) and how to deal with them when they are caught.

"There are thousands of pinjol. We only supervise around 101 legal pinjol. Therefore, we must be vigilant," said Agus. Agus said that it is very important to understand the characteristics of financial services products and services before using them.

"Two Ls must be done to prevent the trap of illegal pinjol, namely Legal and Logical. Legality can be checked with the OJK and logical means sorting out whether the offer given is logical or not," added Agus.

In addition to increasing employee literacy about illegal financial activities, on that occasion three exemplary employees were also announced in the Second Quarter of 2024. The three employees are Agus Widodo, Ani Dwi Nugraeni, and Dwi Jayanti. "This is also part of the implementation of the development of the Integrity Zone towards the WBBM work unit," concluded Eko Libri after handing over the award certificate.
