On Thursday, November 14, 2024, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Jambi Province held an Evaluation Meeting of the Results of the Statistical Development Index (IPS) in 2024 in the hall of the BPS Jambi Province office. This event was opened by the Head of the BPS Jambi Province, Agus Sudibyo, who in his speech said that the Jambi Provincial Government had succeeded in achieving the predicate "GOOD" in the 2024 Sectoral Statistics Implementation Evaluation (EPSS) assessment with an IPS value of 2.68. Agus emphasized that this achievement was the result of strong synergy between data guardians, data producers, and BPS as the supervisor of statistical data in the region.
Nova Moestafa, Senior Statistician of BPS Jambi Province, was present as a resource person in this activity, which was also attended by representatives from eight Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) of the Jambi Provincial Government, including Bappeda, Diskominfo, and various related agencies such as the Health Service, Food Crops, Horticulture and Animal Husbandry Service, Plantation Service, Environmental Service, Women's Empowerment Service, Child Protection and Population Control and Regional Civil Service Agency.
This meeting aims to evaluate the results of this year's EPSS assessment and prepare a work plan for statistical development activities in preparation for the 2025 EPSS assessment. In addition, this meeting is expected to strengthen collaboration between BPS and the Jambi Provincial Government, especially in improving the Statistical Development Index (IPS) which is one of the meso indicators in the assessment of Bureaucratic Reform by Kemenpan-RB since 2023.
Through this event, the Jambi Provincial Government together with BPS is committed to continuing to improve the quality of sectoral statistical data that supports public policy planning and evaluation more effectively and accurately.
