Abstract

Production of rice in 2015 (Preliminary figures) is estimated at 541 486 tonnes of paddy, or a decrease of 123 235 tons (-18.54 per cent) compared to 2014. The decrease in production occurs due to a decrease in harvested area of 23 776 hectares (-16.29 percent) and decrease productivity by 1.23 quintal / hectare (-2.69 percent).
Maize production in 2015 (Preliminary figures) is estimated at 51 724 tonnes of dry seed or increased production of 8107 tons of dry seed (18.59 percent) compared to production in 2014. The increase in production due to increased harvested area covering 551 hectares (6.94 percent) and increase maize productivity by 5.98 quintal / hectare (10.89 percent).
Soybean production in 2015 (Preliminary figures) estimated 6732 tons of dry beans or decreased production of 68 tons of dry beans (-0.99 percent) compared to 2014. This decrease was due to reduced soybean harvested area covering 382 hectares (-7.22 percent ) while productivity increased by 0.86 quintal / hectare (6.71 percent)

In 2020, the rice harvest area is estimated at 86,233 hectares with a production of 374,376 tons of GKG. If converted into rice, rice production in 2020 is estimated to reach 215,451 tons.
