Abstract

In June 2017 Kota Jambi experienced inflation of 0.46 percent and Muara Bungo City inflation of 0.86 percent. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Jambi City was 127.85 and the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Muara Bungo City was recorded at 127.98.
Inflation in Jambi City occurred in 5 (five) groups of goods and services expenditure and inflation in Kota Muara Bungo occurred in 3 (three) groups of goods and services expenditure due to an increase in index.
The inflation rate of calendar year1 of Jambi City this month is 0.50 percent, and the inflation rate "year on year" 2 is 3.72 percent. Meanwhile, the inflation rate of calendar year of Muara Bungo this month is 2.92 percent with inflation rate "year on year" of 4.79 percent.
Of the 23 cities in Sumatra that calculate the CPI, as many as 21 (twenty one) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Sumatra is Tanjung Pandan with 1.83 percent and Pekanbaru is 0.15 percent. Of 82 cities that calculated CPI in Indonesia, 79 (seventy-nine) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Tual City was 4.48 percent and the lowest was Merauke at 0.12 percent.
