Abstract

In November 2017 the city of Jambi experienced inflation of 0.83 percent and Muara Bungo City inflation of 0.42 percent. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Jambi City was 128.67 and the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Muara Bungo City was recorded at 129.23.

Inflation in Jambi City occurred in 6 (six) groups of goods and services spending and inflation in Kota Muara Bungo occurred in 4 (four) groups of goods and services expenditure due to an increase in index.

The inflation rate of calendar year1 of Jambi City this month was 1.15 percent, and the inflation rate "year on year" 2 was 1.51 percent. While the inflation rate of calendar year of Muara Bungo this month amounted to 3.92 percent with inflation rate "year on year" of 3.81 percent.

Of the 23 cities in Sumatra that calculate the CPI, all cities experience inflation. The highest inflation in Sumatera occurred in Sibolga Town of 1.11 percent and the lowest occurred in Tanjung Pinang City by 0.04 percent. Of 82 cities that calculated CPI in Indonesia, 68 (sixty eight) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Singaraja City was 1.80 percent and the lowest was in Kota Bekasi and Palopo respectively by 0.02 percent.
