Abstract

As of September 2018, the level of inequality in Jambi population expenditure measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.335. This figure increased by 0.001 points compared to the Gini Ratio in September 2018.
The Gini Ratio in urban areas in September 2018 was recorded at 0.351 down compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2018 which was 0.354. While the Gini Ratio in rural areas in September 2018 was recorded at 0.295, down from the March 2018 Gini Ratio which was 0.308.
As of September 2018, the distribution of expenditure for the lowest 40 percent of the population is 20.15 percent. This means that population expenditure is still in the low level of inequality category. If detailed by region, in urban areas the figure is recorded at 18.29 percent, which means it is in the category of low inequality. While for rural areas the figure was recorded at 22.15 percent, which means that it falls into the category of low inequality.
