Abstract

Human development in Jambi Province in 2018 continues to progress marked by the continued increase in the Human Development Index (HDI). In 2018, the Jambi Province HDI reached 70.65. This figure increased by 0.66 points compared to the HDI in 2017 which amounted to 69.99.
In 2018, Jambi Province's HDI increases from "moderate" level to "high". This is the first time the Jambi Province HDI is worth more than 70 points with a growth of 0.94 percent compared to 2017.
Babies born in 2018 have the opportunity to live up to 70.89 years, an increase of 0.13 years compared to those born the previous year.
Children who are 7 years old in 2018 have the opportunity to attend 12.90 years of schooling (Diploma I), 0.03 years longer than those of the same age in 2017.
Residents aged 25 years and above have studied for an average of 8.23 years (class IX), 0.08 years longer than the previous year.
Adjusted per capita expenditure (constant 2012 prices) of the community has reached 10.36 million rupiah in 2018, an increase of 477 thousand rupiah compared to the previous year.
