Abstract

The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of Jambi Province in August 2020 was 106.89, an increase of 3.21 percent compared to the NTP of the previous month. The increase in NTP was due to the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) increased by 3.04 percent while the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) decreased by 0.16 percent.
In August 2020, Jambi Province NTP for each sub-sector was recorded at 100.63 for the Food Crops sub-sector (NTPP); 98.32 for the Horticulture subsector (NTPH); 108.83 for the sub-sector of smallholding crops (NTPR); 98.21 for the Livestock sub-sector (NTPT) and 105.66 for the fisheries sub-sector (NTNP), which consists of Capture Fisheries (NTN) of 107.63 and Aquaculture (NTPi) of 99.06.
Rural inflation in Jambi Province was recorded at minus 0.22 percent. Inflation occurred in eight household consumption groups, namely the Clothing and Footwear group; Housing, Water, Electricity and Other Fuels group; Equipment, Appliances, and Household Routine Maintenance group; Health group; Transportation group; the Recreation, Sports and Culture group, the Food and Beverage Supply group, and the Personal Care and Other Services group. Deflation occurred in two groups, namely the Food, Beverage and Tobacco group and the Information, Communication and Financial Services group. Meanwhile, in the Education group there was no change in index.
The Exchange Rate of Agricultural Household Businesses (NTUP) in Jambi Province in August 2020 was 107.28, an increase of 3.00 percent compared to NTUP in the previous month.
