Abstract

Human development in Jambi Province in 2020 continues to progress which is marked by the continued increase in the Human Development Index (HDI). In 2020, the HDI of Jambi Province has reached 71.29. This figure increased by 0.03 points compared to the HDI in 2019 which amounted to 71.26.
In 2020, Jambi Province's HDI is still at a "high" level. This is the third time the Jambi Province HDI has scored above 70 points with a growth of 0.04 percent compared to 2019.
Babies born in 2020 have the expectation to live up to 71.16 years, 0.10 years longer than those born in 2019.
In 2020, children who are 7 years old have the hope of being able to attend school for 12.98 years (Diploma 1), an increase of 0.05 years compared to those of the same age in 2019.
On average, the population aged 25 years and over in 2020 has studied for 8.55 years (class IX), an increase of 0.10 years compared to 2019.
Adjusted per capita expenditure (constant 2012 prices) of the people of 10.39 million rupiah in 2020, a decrease of 200 thousand rupiah compared to 2019.
