Abstract

Farmers’ Terms of Trade (FTT) is the ratio of the index of prices received by farmers (It) and the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib).
FTT is an indicator to measure the farmers’ purchasing power parity in rural areas. FTT shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumption and production costs.
In January 2024, Jambi Province FTT was 142.21 or increased by 1.75 percent compared with that in December 2023. The increase in FTT was due to the increase in the index of prices received by farmers (It) at 1.97 percent, while the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib) increased at 0.22 percent.
The price index of household consumption (IKRT) in January 2024 increased by 0.19 percent, which mainly was due to the increase in the indexes of Transportation group.
Jambi Province, Agriculture’s Terms of Trade (NTUP) was 143.89 in January 2024 or increased by 1.61 percent compared with December 2023.

The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of Jambi Province in March 2025 was 178.28 or an increase of 2.22 percent, while the Agricultural Household Exchange Rate (NTUP) was 180.59 (increase of 2.96 percent).

The Jambi Province Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in April 2024 increased by 2.49 percent, while the Jambi Province Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) increased by 2.77 percent.

The Jambi Province Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in December 2023 was 139.77 (up 0.75 percent), while the Jambi Province Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) was 141.60 (up 1.33 percent)
