Abstract
The rice harvest area in 2024 is estimated to be around 64.12 thousand hectares, an increase of 2.88 thousand hectares or 4.71 percent compared to the rice harvest area in 2023 which was 61.24 thousand hectares. Rice production in 2024 is estimated at 291.37 thousand tons of GKG, an increase of 15.43 thousand tons of GKG or 5.59 percent compared to rice production in 2023 which was 275.94 thousand tons of GKG. Rice production in 2024 for food consumption for the population is estimated to be around 168.55 thousand tons, an increase of 8.92 thousand tons or 5.59 percent compared to rice production in 2023 which was 159.62 thousand tons.
