Elderly Population Statistics of Jambi Province 2018

The increase in the elderly population in Jambi Province is one of the impacts of successful development in the health sector. This of course brings consequences that are not simple, both potential and challenges for national development. In response to this phenomenon, the existence of accurate and comprehensive information data is expected to map the latest condition of the elderly of Jambi Province in order to formulate a policy that can protect the lives of the elderly.This publication is an annual publication that contains macro information about the demographic conditions of the elderly population, education status, health conditions, the role of the elderly in employment, economic potential, social conditions, and access of elderly residents to various protection and empowerment facilities for improving their quality of life. The data used in this publication are sourced from the results of the March 2018 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and the August 2018 National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas).
