Analysis of Latest Issues for Jambi Province Semenster 1 of 2022

The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on change in the structure economy of a region. Jambi Province is one of the areas affected by the pandemic, this can be seen from the economic growth rate which has contracted to 0.44 percent. The sectors that were severely affected were the transportation and warehousing sectors as well as the provision of accommodation, food, and drink. The growth rates of the two sectors contracted to minus 14.43 percent and minus 6.83 percent. Changes in the direction of the pace of economic growth will affect the shift in the structure of the economy due to adaptation to the Covid-19 pandemic. Some sectors have fallen, but some have survived and even increased during the pandemic. The purpose of this research is to examine the leading/non-seeded sectors and to see the shift in the economic structure in the Jambi Province. The study uses 4 analyzes, namely descriptive analysis, Location Quotient (LQ), Shift Share (SS), and Growth Ratio Model (MRP) which will be combined with overlay analysis to see which sectors can withstand the pandemic storm.
