Tomorrow! BPS Jambi Province Releases Economic Growth Quarter 2 Year 2022

After releasing monthly indicators on August 1, Jambi Province BPS will release Jambi Province's economic growth in the second quarter of 2022 at the Jambi Province BPS Hall and Jambi Province BPS Youtube, Friday (5/8/2022). After more than 2 years of being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, how is the economic performance of Jambi Province in the second quarter of 2022? Last May, the Jambi Province BPS released the Jambi Province's economic growth rate in the first quarter of 2022 of 4.64 percent compared to the first quarter of 2021 (year on year). This positive growth indicates that the economy in Jambi Province is starting to get excited, especially in sectors previously affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. If we look at the economic growth structure of Jambi Province last quarter in terms of production, the agricultural sector still has the largest share in the economic structure of Jambi Province, followed by the mining sector and the trade sector with each share of 32.17 percent; 16.55 percent; and 11.65 percent. However, the growth rate of the three sectors with the largest share is still below other sectors whose share is very small. In the first quarter of 2022 the agricultural sector was only able to grow by 2.88 percent; mining sector 8.11 percent; and the trade sector at 3.03 percent year on year. Far below the growth of the top 3 sectors with the highest growth, namely: the corporate services sector (16.13 percent), the health services sector (13.11 percent), and the electricity and gas procurement sector (12.31 percent). Even though the total share of these three sectors is only 2.59 percent of the total economic growth cake of Jambi Province. The economic growth figures for the second quarter of 2022 have been awaited by many parties, especially stakeholders and business actors.
