Sakernas August 2022 Portrait Tool of Labor Conditions

Since Monday (8/8/2022), the National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) August 2022 sample household enumeration activity has been started by the Central Statistics Agency for Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. The SAKERNAS activity was carried out from August 8 to 31, 2022. BPS deployed 22 field officers to collect SAKERNAS data in 56 Census Blocks spread across 13 sub-districts of Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. In each CB, 10 households were selected as respondents, which field officers would interview either directly or indirectly by telephone. Before field officers go to the field, they have been provided with officer training. The results of the August SAKERNAS can provide employment indicators in Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. In 2021, the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency is 2.53 percent, which means that 2.53 percent of the working age population (15-64 years) are unemployed. This figure increased compared to August 2020, which was 2.16 percent. When viewed from gender, changes in the 2020-2021 period, male TPT decreased from 2.28 percent to 1.83 percent, while female TPT experienced a considerable increase from 1.98 percent to 3.65 percent. With the employment data produced by SAKERNAS in August, useful employment indicators can be obtained to meet the needs of data consumers, both local governments, the private sector, as well as the wider community in Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency in general.
