The economy has started to revive after being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic for the last two years. The ghost of the pandemic has spread across the country, and Jambi is no exception. Welcoming the hope that the economic recovery will run quickly, but by remaining vigilant that Covid-19 still exists. Especially for the province that has the motto 'A Jambi Nine Village Head'. Its strategic location is in the middle of the island of Sumatra and is a lowland on the east side of Andalas Island. Its position is easily accessible by the people of Sumatra and outside the island for just traveling or passing transportation. It is not surprising that this condition has attracted the attention of the Governor of Jambi. The economy is rising, but still anticipates public health as the main point. The case of residents suspected of Covid-19 which has decreased did not make the Governor of Jambi, Al Haris, off guard. What is being done is on the contrary, consistently improving health facilities. As stated by Al Haris at the virtual 'Declaration of the National Child Immunization Month (BIAN)' by the Indonesian Minister of Health, which took place in the auditorium of the Jambi Governor's official residence, Wednesday (18/5). "We ask the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia for help because at this time we are continuing to organize Raden Mattaher Hospital to be even better in the future. We ask for assistance related to facilities and buildings through the budget from the Ministry, where the budget from the Jambi Provincial Government is minimal because Jambi Province's Original Regional Revenue (PAD) is still far from expectations," said Governor Al Haris.
After re-examination, the largest portion of Jambi's public health expenditure was for treatment or curative. The figure reaches 63.23 percent (Susenas, 2021). Treatment or curative is an activity and or a series of treatment activities aimed at curing disease, reducing suffering due to disease, controlling disease or controlling disability so that the quality of the patient can be maintained as optimally as possible. Meanwhile, the most dominant health facility accessed by the people of Jambi and its surroundings is the Government Hospital. The highest portion was at 37.66 percent. Furthermore, the second position is Private Hospital with 36.04 percent. This percentage is seen based on the average monthly per capita expenditure for medical or curative service costs by type of expenditure in Jambi Province in 2021. These data show that the awareness level of the Jambi community for health is very high. As a result, adequate facilities are needed to be able to fulfill health services. The support from the Governor of Jambi Province to improve the facilities and infrastructure and facilities of the Mattaher Hospital is expected to be transmitted to various improvements in other health sectors. All of that is solely for the progress of Jambi Province in the future. (Jambi/Social Data)
