First, students are the largest segment of data users who conduct consulting transactions through the Integrated Statistical Service (PST) portal. The second consideration is that students are candidates for the successor to the nation's leadership baton that will build the Indonesian nation in the future. By increasing statistical data literacy among academics, especially students, it is hoped that awareness in the use of statistics in research preparation will be strong. In order to achieve this, BPS Jambi Province will hold a statistical corner activity at the Jambi University Library which is the result of a memorandum of understanding between BPS Jambi Province and Jambi University. To be the liaison between BPS Jambi Province and Jambi University, a statistical agent is needed who will be placed in the statistics corner. The criteria for Jambi Statistical Agents are Jambi University students who are still active in semesters 3 to 6, are interested in statistical data, have public speaking skills and are highly committed to being statistical agents. The statistical agent will stand by in the statistics corner once a week with the dress code of the Jambi University alma mater suit, serving as a liaison with BPS Jambi Province and carrying out promotions for Jambi Province BPS activities. The benefits that will be obtained by the Jambi Statistical Agency are many. They will get certificates accompanying diplomas and soft skills that can add personal points when looking for work. The insight of statistical agents will be broad because they are directly involved in BPS activities and socialization.

They will also get interesting experiences when participating in all BPS activities. Statistical agents are also given the opportunity to be resource persons at BPS activities and have priority in internships/Job Practices at BPS throughout Jambi Province. Before being inaugurated at the public lecture and the inauguration of the statistics corner on August 25, 2022, statistical agents will be given guidance regarding the data menu, BPS website and excellent service. Statistical agents are equipped with an understanding of the importance of data, because currently data is the new wealth of the Indonesian nation which its value can be more valuable than oil. Statistical agents must understand the flow of BPS statistical services, starting from searching for data on the website, browsing data in the library, conducting statistical consultations and submitting recommendation numbers.

Currently, access to Indonesian statistics is easy to do anywhere and anytime via the BPS AllStats application, statistical agents must be able to master this application to make it easier for visitors to find the data they want. In addition to understanding the BPS website, statistical agents must also understand strategic indicators that are often sought after by data friends. These indicators include: inflation, economic growth, exports and imports, poverty, unemployment, Gini ratio, and the Human Development Index (IPM).
