Support BPS Regsosek Data Collection, Tanjabbar Regent Invites to Realize One Indonesian Data

The Regent of Tanjung Jabung Barat Drs H Anwar Sadat M.Ag ensured that all village heads, village heads, sub-districts and institutions/services/agencies fully supported the initial data collection of the Socio-Economic Registration to be carried out in West Tanjung Jabung Regency.

This was conveyed by the Regent of West Tanjung Jabung Regency in the coordination meeting for the initial data collection of the socio-economic registration of West Tanjung Jabung Regency on Monday (19/9/2022). The event, which was held at the meeting hall of the Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency Regent's Office, was attended by the Head of the Jambi Province BPS, Offices, institutions, sub-district heads and village heads.

Regsosek is a population data collection that covers all profiles of various socio-economic conditions, ranging from demographic conditions, housing, stability, geospatial information, comprehensive information that can assist government programs in improving the welfare of the population.

According to the Regent of Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency, the implementation of regsosek is the right step in Indonesia's development so that the realization of comprehensive socio-economic development so that later the resulting data can be used by the government and policy makers in the distribution of social protection programs and community empowerment so that they are right on target and effective.

The head of BPS Jambi Province added that data collection is not only about the poor, this data collection is related to community empowerment.

“There are three important points in implementing this regsosek, namely collaboration, coordination, and integration. Collaboration is carried out with OPD and BPS hand in hand to work together with each other so that the regsosek activities run smoothly. All OPDs are expected to play an active role in this regsosek activity. Coordination is carried out by open communication between OPD and related agencies so as to support the smooth running of regsosek activities. The integration is carried out with the hope that in the future there will be no misunderstandings between OPDs related to the data produced by BPS”
