The 2022 Socio-Economic Registration (Regsosek) activity in each district is still in the early stages. A number of preparations were made, one of which was the training of Regsosek officers. In Sarolangun Regency itself, the training of Regsosek officers is currently in full swing considering that there are 4 waves of officer training held from 6 to 13 October 2022. There are 500 officers consisting of 383 Field Data Collection Officers (PPL), 99 Field Inspection Officers (PML) and 18 District Census Coordinator (Koseka).
So how important is the training of these officers for the 2022 Regsosek activities?
In the world of statistics, data collection cannot be separated from errors, both technical errors which are often called sampling errors and non-technical or human errors. Talking about human error, then errors can occur when conducting interviews, writing entries into questionnaires or even when processing data (data entry). Errors are a human thing to happen, especially when conveying intentions in communicating. Human error that can indirectly come from the contribution of the data collection officer and the respondents themselves. For example, when asking family members who live in the house at this time. If the data collection officer is not strong in holding the concept and definition of family and population, then the precision of the respondents' answers may be wrong. But as human as errors may be, data collection is best when they can be kept to a minimum. Moreover, the 2022 Regsosek activity aims to provide a database of all residents which will later be connected to the Population Identification Number (NIK) and other databases up to the village or sub-district level. Therefore, extraordinary efforts are needed so that data collection can be accurate and reach one hundred percent. Officer training is one of the efforts so that potential errors in the field brought by officers can be avoided.
Starting from strong concepts and definitions, mastery of questionnaires that must be filled in to how to speak, communicate and behave well are priority points in the training of Regsosek officers in 2022. If the data collection officer can convey each item of the questionnaire very well, then half of the mandate we can hold the field. So, what's the other half? Of course, it's just the best effort when recording in the field under any conditions. Not to forget, after the officer training is complete, we must continue to pray so that the data collectors stay healthy and meet with respondents who are full of patience and honesty. Wait for the Regsosek officer to arrive at Sahabat Data's house. Friends of Data's answer helps to realize quality data.
