On May 24 - 25, 2022, BPS-Statistics of Jambi Province held a Training for DPP and DUTL Updating Officers. The training was held at the Odua Weston Hotel, Jambi. Officers attended this training from all districts/cities throughout Jambi Province. Forty-six training participants, including twenty-three enumerators, twelve supervisors, and eleven admins. The training was conducted in two classes with national instructors, Eny Tristanti and Vita Eisynta Dewi. This training aims to provide a standard explanation and understanding of Updating DPP and DUTL 2023 Agricultural Census data (ST2023) for officers who will carry out field data collection. In detail, the objectives to be achieved are increasing the ability of officers to understand the concept of definition and procedures for filling out questionnaires and the availability of trained officers who are reliable to conduct field data collection for Updating DPP and DUTL ST2023.
The training was officially opened by Syarpan Dani, head of the general division of BPS-Statistics of Jambi Province. He conveyed the importance of updating DPP and DUTL as the initial sequence of ST2023 activities. Updating the DPP and DUTL activities is the initial stage that aims to update the directory data of agricultural companies and other agricultural businesses used in the 2023 Agricultural Census. He motivates and invites all officers to carry out this activity as well as possible, on time, and follow health protocols. At the end of the opening ceremony, he appreciated the participants from the BPS-Statistics of Sarolangun Regency. They were the participants who arrived early that morning. Afrizal representing the BPS-Statistics of Sarolangun Regency's participants, received a souvenir from the chief.
The learning method during the training is the face-to-face method. Previously during the pandemic, all training was conducted online. The material presented by the national instructors includes the method of enumeration and field organization, CAPI application practices, updating the pre-list of DPP DUTL ST2023, and procedures for filling out e-forms ST2023.DPP-L2 and ST2023. DUTL-L2, procedures for checking the enumeration of DPP and DUTL ST2023, and monitoring activity.
The evaluation of the participants includes the assessment of the substance component obtained from the scores of quiz1, quiz 2, and post-test. Understanding the material the participants have resulted in the three best participants in each class. The three best participants in class A were Eka Julita Irmayanti from BPS-Statistics of Batang Hari Regency, Ikhsan Riansyah from BPS-Statistics of Batang Hari Regency, and Azuadi from BPS-Statistics of Sarolangun Regency. The best class B participants were Rensy Hasibuan from BPS-Statistics of Tebo Regency, M. Yusuf Sembiring from BPS-Statistics of Jambi Municipality, and Deslima Megawati from BPS-Statistics of Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency.
