Abstract

In December 2017 the city of Jambi experienced inflation of 1.52 percent and Muara Bungo City inflation of 0.32 percent. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Jambi City was 130.62 and the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Muara Bungo City was recorded at 129.64.

Inflation in Jambi City occurred in 7 (seven) groups of goods and services expenditure and inflation in Kota Muara Bungo occurred in 3 (three) groups of goods and services expenditure due to an increase in index.

The rate of inflation in calendar year1 of Jambi City this month was 2.68 percent, and the inflation rate "year on year" 2 was 2.68 percent. While the inflation rate of calendar year of Muara Bungo this month is 4.25 percent and inflation rate "year on year" is also 4.25 percent

Of the 23 cities in Sumatera that calculated the CPI, all cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Sumatra occurred in Lhokseumawe City of 1.69 percent and the lowest occurred in Metro City of 0.23 percent. Of the 82 Cities that calculated the CPI in Indonesia, all experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Jayapura City was 2.28 percent and the lowest in Sorong was 1.33 percent.
