Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib). NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchangeability (terms of trade) of agricultural products for goods and services consumed and for production costs. Jambi Province's NTP for June 2024 was 155.21 or an increase of 2.29 percent compared to the previous month's NTP. The increase in NTP was due to the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) increasing by 2.78 percent, while the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) also increased by 0.48 percent. In Jambi Province, the NTP January-June 2024 increased by 7.28 percent compared to the NTP January-June 2023. In June 2024 there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Jambi Province by 0.59 percent due to an increase in the index in the Food Group , Beverages and Tobacco 0.89 percent; Clothing and Footwear 0.03 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity and Other Fuels by 0.02 percent; Equipment, Supplies, Appliances and Routine Household Maintenance 0.18 percent; Health 0.22 percent; Transportation 0.05 percent; Provision of Food and Beverages/Restaurants 0.45 percent; and Personal Care and Other Services by 0.62 percent. The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for Jambi Province in June 2024 was 160.70 or an increase of 2.75 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
