Abstract

The publication of Consumer Price Index of Jambi City in 2017 is a regular publication issued by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Jambi Province. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) is one of the important economic indicators that can provide information on the development of prices of goods / services paid by consumers. Changes to the CPI from time to time will illustrate the rate of price increase (inflation) or the rate of decline in prices (deflation).

The calculation of Consumer Price Index (CPI) in 2017 uses the base year 2012 as a result of the 2012 Living Cost Survey (SBH) covering 367 commodities of goods / services. In addition to presenting the CPI of Jambi City in 2017 and the percentage of inflation change, this publication also features IHK 23 cities in Sumatra and National CPI as a comparison material.
