Abstract

The Jambi City Consumer Price Index publication 2020 is a routine publication published by the Jambi Province Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The Consumer Price Index (CPI) is an important economic indicator that can provide information on developments in the price of goods / services paid by consumers. Changes in the CPI over time will reflect the rate of price increase (inflation) or the rate of decline in prices (deflation).The calculation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for 2020 uses the 2018 base year as the result of the 2018 Cost of Living Survey (SBH). In addition to presenting the Jambi City CPI for 2020 and the percentage change in inflation, this publication also presents the CPI for 24 cities in Sumatra and the National CPI as a comparison.
