Elderly Population Statistics of Jambi Province 2020

The success of health development in Indonesia has an impact on reducing morbidity, mortality and increasing life expectancy, which leads to an increase in the number of elderly people. This of course has consequences that are not simple, both potential and challenges for national development. Responding to this phenomenon, the existence of accurate and comprehensive information data is hoped to be able to map the current condition of the elderly in Jambi Province in order to formulate a policy that can protect the lives of the elderly.This publication is an annual publication that contains macro information regarding the demographic conditions of the elderly population, educational status, health conditions, the role of the elderly in employment, economic potential, social conditions, and access of the elderly population to various protection and empowerment facilities to improve their quality of life. The data used in this publication comes from data from the March 2020 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and the August 2020 National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas).
