Indonesia Democracy Index of Jambi Province 2021

The publication of the Jambi Province Indonesia Democracy Index (IDI) in 2021 has a fundamental concept difference compared to the previous IDI calculation. The lack of accommodation for the economic and social dimensions of democracy is one of the reasons for the revision of the method. The theory of democracy that is currently developing sees democracy in a broader perspective, where its aspects include political, economic, and social. This publication contains methodological sharpening in calculating IDI, through re-weighting and weighing the size of the area. The number of cases that arise has been weighted by the number of residents and local governments. The data presented contains aspects, indicators, work stages and data sources. This publication is expected to be a reference or study material in the planning and evaluation of democracy development in Jambi Province.
