To calculate the food adequacy of the people of Muaro Jambi Regency, BPS Muaro Jambi Regency conducted a UBINAN survey. UBINAN is one way to predict the amount of rice production that is still in the field through sample determination. To determine the Agricultural Production of Rice, BPS uses the Area Sample Framework (KSA) method to collect data to be more objective and modern by involving the role of Technology so that the Rice Agricultural Production Data becomes more accurate and timely.
Implementation of Rice KSA Tiles
The rice that will be tiled is rice that is ready to be harvested. The implementation of tiles goes through several stages and equipment that must be completed such as tiling tools, tarpaulin scales as a base for threshing rice that has been tiled.
Procedure for the implementation of rice tiles
1.Determine the plot of rice fields to be tiled with a size of 2.5m x 2.5m using a tiling tool
2. Determine the base of the Plot axis according to the selected tile
3. Counting the usual steps for the West-East and North-South directions
4 Perform and place the tiling tool at a predetermined point (point P) with a size of 2.5m x 2.5m
5. Harvest the rice in a 2.5m x 2.5m tile plot, then the harvested rice is cleaned of garbage and discarded empty rice.
6. Do the weighing of rice that has been clean.
Example :
Tile Yield on a 2.5m x 2.5m plot weighing 3.2 kg of GKP rice (Dry Harvested Grain)
So to calculate the production of 1 Ha = 3.2 kg x 1600 = 5120
5120 : 1000 = 5.12 Ton/ Ha
Buffer sub-districts for rice production in the Muaro Jambi district, such as Kumpeh Ulu District, Kumpeh District, Maro Sebo District, Taman Rajo District, Sekernan District and Jambi Outer City District.
