Together with BPS, Help Provide Socio-Economic Data for Batang Hari Regency with Susenas MKP 2022

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) as a government agency that has the vision of "Provider of Quality Statistical Data for Advanced Indonesia" has many survey activities that are routinely carried out every year. Various survey activities were carried out to obtain the development of indicators used as the basis for government planning.

The National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) is one of the surveys conducted by BPS which is the source of household-based socio-economic data in Indonesia.

The data generated from Susenas activities are used by the government in planning, monitoring, and evaluating development. In addition, Susenas data is also widely used by researchers, academics, and the general public for various needs. Susenas is held twice a year, in March and September. In March, the “Big Susenas” was carried out which included various indicators used for development planning. Meanwhile in the September Susenas, the indicators collected were more detailed and divided into 3 types of modules whose data collection is carried out alternately every year, namely the Social, Cultural, and Educational Module Susenas (MSBP); Susenas Social Resilience Module (Hansos); and Susenas Module on Health and Housing (MKP).

In 2022, the September Susenas will focus on collecting data using the Health and Housing Module. Susenas MKP 2022 covers 3 major topics, namely health, housing, and social protection. Susenas MKP 2022 is designed to be able to meet the need for more in-depth data and capture various changes that occur, including the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The indicators that will be collected in the 2022 MKP Susenas will also be used to answer data needs related to the 2020-2024 National Medium-Term Development Plan Agenda (RPJMN) and the National Economic Recovery Program (PEN). The implementation of the 2022 MKP Susenas field takes place in the period 1 September 2022-30 September 2022.

There are two major activities carried out in the 2022 MKP Susenas field implementation, namely updating activities and enumeration activities. The updating activity is carried out to update households in the Census Block which is the scope of the 2022 Susenas MKP. After obtaining the results of updating the households, then a sample is drawn to select households for which further enumeration activities will be carried out. Specifically in Batang Hari Regency, there are 14 Census Blocks that are the scope of the August 2022 Sakernas spread across 8 sub-districts. A total of 11 officers consisting of 7 Field Enumerators (PCL) and 4 Field Inspectors (PML) were prepared for the 2022 MKP Susenas field implementation.

All officers have previously been selected and given training in advance to understand the concepts and definitions used during field implementation. In closing, there is great hope for all Indonesian people, especially the people of Batang Hari Regency to be able to support the implementation of the 2022 MKP Susenas activities. Households selected as respondents in the 2022 MKP Susenas are expected to receive officers well and provide honest, candid, and honest answers. according to actual conditions. Do not be afraid to provide data to officers because the confidentiality of the data and information provided will be guaranteed by BPS and will only be used for development planning purposes.
