Key Indicators of The Labour Market of Jambi Province, February 2022

The National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) has been carried out by BPS semi-annually (February and August) since 2015. This survey covers all regions of Indonesia and the results are expected to capture employment dynamics on an ongoing basis. The Sakernas which was held in February was designed to produce estimates of employment indicators at the provincial level, while the August Sakernas was able to provide estimates of indicators down to the district/city level. To improve the accuracy of the data produced, starting in 2019, the February Sakernas sample increased to 75,000 households and became 300,000 households in August.The February 2022 publication of Indonesian Labor Market Indicators presents developments in labor market indicators that refer to (Key Indicators of the Labor Market-KILM) 9th edition 2015 recommended by the ILO (International Labor Organization). Since the August 2020 Sakernas, the calculation of the workforce indicator uses weights from the results of population projections from the Inter-Census Population Survey (SUPAS 2015). Presentation of data for February 2021 and August 2021 uses weights from the 2015 SUPAS population projection and data for February 2022 uses weights for the interim population projection from the 2020 Population Census (SP2020).
