Abstract

The publication “Consumer Price Index of Jambi Province 2024” presents data on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and its percentage changes from three regencies/cities in Jambi Province—Kerinci Regency, Muara Bungo Regency, and Jambi City—as well as the monthly CPI for Jambi Province as a whole. This serves as one of the economic indicators produced by Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Jambi Province. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) is a key economic indicator that provides information on the price developments of goods and services paid by consumers. Changes in the CPI over time reflect the rate of price increases (inflation) or price decreases (deflation). The calculation of the 2024 Consumer Price Index uses the commodity basket and weighting diagram based on the 2022 base year, derived from the 2022 Cost of Living Survey (SBH). In addition to presenting the CPI data for Kerinci, Muara Bungo, Jambi City, and Jambi Province for the year 2024, this publication also includes the CPI data for 150 regencies/cities across Indonesia for comparative purposes.
