Jambi Province Consumer Tendency Index 2017

Early information that is able to provide early signals about changes in economic conditions in the coming months is necessary to be known by governments, businesses and consumers. Early information can be known through perceptions of consumption actors against the economic situation.

Since 2011, the Central Bureau of Statistics of Jambi Province has developed an Early Indicator Monitoring System, the Consumer Tendency Index. The Consumer Tendency Index is calculated based on the results of the Consumer Tendency Survey on a quarterly basis in Jambi Province.

This publication describes the method and result of calculation of Tendency Index of Consumer 2017. Up to 2010, the index calculation only covers Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek). Beginning in 2011, the calculation of the Consumer Tendency Index is extended to all provinces in Indonesia.
