Regsosek: The mandate of the President of the Republic of Indonesia to the Central Statistics Agency

In a speech by President Joko Widodo on August 17, 2022, he mandated the Central Statistics Agency to carry out Regsosek activities.

What is Regsosek? Regsosek is a household-based Socio-Economic Registration.

The purpose of this data collection is for the socio-economic welfare of the entire population of Indonesia, as one of the strategies for implementing social protection system reform. The information collected includes:

1. Demographic socioeconomic conditions

2. Housing conditions and clean water sanitation

3. Asset Ownership

4. Conditions of vulnerability of special population groups

5. Geospatial information

6. Level of welfare and

7. Other socioeconomic information.

Currently, BPS is recruiting prospective field officers, as the first step in a series of Regsosek activities.

For BPS Tanjung Jabung Barat itself requires 531 officers with details of 406 PPL, 106 PML and 19 Koseka, this data collection will be done door to door. Through this initial series of activities, it is hoped that it will produce quality data for the community, especially the prosperous West Tanjung Jabung Regency.
