Briefing of the Internal Assessment Team (TPI) Evaluation of Implementation of Sectoral Statistics (EPSS) 2023

Evaluation of the Implementation of Sectoral Statistics (EPSS) is a systematic evaluation process through verification and validation of information on the results of self-assessment to measure the maturity level of the implementation of Sectoral Statistics. The result of the EPSS is the value of the Statistical Development Index (IPS) which describes the maturity level of implementing sectoral statistics in Ministries/Institutions and Regional Governments.

Taking place in the BPS Jambi Province Hall, BPS Jambi Province on 12 May 2023 held an EPSS Internal Assessment Team (TPI) Briefing. TPI is a team formed by the Regional Head and coordinated by the Regional Government Secretary whose members are representatives of several Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD). The TPI is tasked with collecting supporting evidence, assessing the level of maturity and providing explanations for each indicator of the sectoral statistics being assessed.

The briefing was opened by the Head of BPS Jambi Province, Agus Sudibyo, who in his remarks hoped that through this EPSS, BPS as a supervisor of statistical data could improve coordination, integration, synchronization and standardization with the Regional Government as the organizer of sectoral statistics. This IPS score also serves as a baseline for BPS to find out how far progress has been made in implementing sectoral statistics in the Regional Government. In addition, in accordance with the regulation of the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia Number 3 of 2023 concerning Amendments to the Regulation of the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform number 25 of 2020 concerning the 2020-2024 Bureaucratic Reform Road Map, the results of the IPS assessment will be used as one of the expected results and outputs in the implementation of bureaucratic reforms 2022-2024 Meso Level.
